Ten of the best bankers in literature

At the Guardian, John Mullan named ten of the best bankers in literature.

One entry on the list:
Patrick Bateman

We never quite find out what New York investment banker Bateman actually does at work as, in Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho, he tells us only about what he is wearing, which restaurants he is going to and how beautiful his business card is. And of course the details of his serial killings. But then this is what bankers are really like.
Read about the other bankers on the list.

American Psycho appears on Mullan's list of ten of the best zoos in literature, Richard Gwyn's list of ten books in which things end badly, Nick Brooks' top ten list of literary murderers and Chris Power's list of his six top books on the 1980s. It is a book that Nick Cross "Finished Reading but Wanted My Time Back Afterwards."
